Why
Fixie's
? At
the time that we were collecting and restoring vintage bikes, more and
more people bought a frame to built a fixie out of it. The
understanding and feeling for the "naked" racing bikes became
greater after we met a group of Danish students who all used fixie’s
in Copenhagen. When
we went to Copenhagen for a quick visit, we were seeing lots of
people on fixed gear bikes riding through the streets in the
Tivoli area. They
didn’t use track frames for their fixie's but normal racing bikes
because they are easier to ride and much cheaper. It is all about the soul of a steel frame and the feeling it gives you,
that's what you miss in aluminum and carbon. All
that, mixed in a very personal bike with your favorite colors and
accessories, to make it your own dream on two wheels. Everywhere
we go now, we look around to see if there are any fixie's to look at and talk
to their owners about the naked fast bike. We
have received more and more requests to rebuilt frames for fixie’s and now we
want to start a line of unique fixie frames and complete bikes. We
are always looking for frames with nice lugs that give the best look, and check all
the frames on
rust, tubing and if they are still straight and strong. If
we built a frame for you, it will be cleaned, than taken off the
old braze-on's and complete sandblasted. After
blasting the frame is again checked on the steel quality and then powder-coated in the color you like. If
you like it can be finished with high gloss clear coat, to give it a
real showroom shine. We
use powder coating because it is better for the environment than paint,
also it is very strong. We
found a way to use more colors on one frame and still clear powder-coat it for
a strong and shiny result. Every
frame or bike we built we make into a unique project in a way you will
never see. There
are so many ways to paint and built a frame or bike with parts who are
rare and hard to find. Because
of the background we have in restoring and rebuilding, gives us an advantage in
building the most beautiful bike or frame for you.
