The REUS project.
One of my projects is a REUS bike in bad shape.
The paint is very poor and the clear coat is totaly cracked.
The REUS frame are always very nice built frames from Reynolds 531.
They always use the nice stuff on there frames and follow the trends closely.
This is an early one and needs a lot of work.
The bike is taken apart and the frames is cleaned with soap.
All parts will be cleaned and buffed and later on used to re-install again.
I have to take off the cracked top coat, and will do this with scouring pads.

The frame is grinded with scouring pads now and most cracks are gone.
It costs a lot of time and scouring pads to take away safely the top coat.
It is not possible to take them all away because that will destroy the yellow paint.
It is very difficult to get them away in the small corners.
But new clear-coat will cover that a little.

The decals will be repaired with airbrush and small paint-brushes.
The airbrush is an 0.2 mill. and is very good for restoration work.
Low-tack tape is used to protect the boarders and yellow paint.
After that is receives a temp clear-coat to protect the fragile airbrush paint.
Will be updated..............
